Pedalkörper

Der Pedalkörper ist aus hochfestem 7075 Aluminium gefräst. Durch intensive Tests mit verschiedenen Größen und Formen ist uns die ideale Plattform geglückt. Die sowohl einen guten Stand bietet, hohe Stabilität hat und groß dimensionierte Lager zulässt.

Ein Versatz der beiden Standflächen ermöglicht besseres Abgleiten beim Hängenbleiben an Steinen oder Wurzeln.

Um noch mehr Grip zu generieren, ist die Plattform konkav. Sprich mittig flacher als außen. Lediglich für die Lagerung ist eine Erhöhung da.

Pins

Pins! Dünn,
dick, spitz, lang und kurz, wir haben alle möglichen Ausführungen getestet, um
den perfekten Grip in unserer FUßRASTE zu verwirklichen. In unseren Tests kamen wir zu dem Ergebnis, dass ein 3 mm dicker Pin mit Einkerbungen sich optimal in
den Schuh bohrt und darin stecken bleibt. Als Material haben wir Edelstahl 316L gewählt. Die Pedale werden serienmäßig mit 4 & 5 mm Pins ausgeliefert; wer mehr möchte, kann auf die Nagel Max Pins, mit 7mm Länge, upgraden.

Lagerung

Gleitlager oder Kugellager?
Die Frage kommt bei Pedalen direkt auf. Anfangs testeten wir
einen Prototyp mit einem Kugellager innen. Der große Durchmesser störte
allerdings massiv beim Stehen und wir wollten das Pedal nicht noch breiter machen. Ein weiterer Grund gegen Kugellager ist der Durchmesser der Achse; wir
wollten diesen auf 12 mm dimensionieren. Sprich, die Entscheidung war schnell
da, auf Gleitlager zu setzen.

Wir setzen da auf IGUS, mit einem 25 mm breitem und dadurch extrem großen Gleitlager haben wir hervorragende Langzeittests gemacht.

Außen wurden zwei Enduro Bearings 688 LLB MAX Kugellager montiert.

Zwei Plattformgrößen

Für verschieden große Füße und Präferenzen, haben wir zwei Größen. M/L (100x105 mm); XL (110x115 mm).

Wir empfehlen ab Schuhgröße 44 das XL Pedal. Je nach Präferenz kann man aber auch bei kleinen Füßen große und bei großen Füßen kleine Pedale fahren.
